Our main research interest is to develop novel optoelectronic devices based on 1D and 2D materials and their hybrid with optical/plasmonic nanostructures and to understand light-matter interaction and quantum phenomena underlying the operation of the low-dimensional devices.
On-going research works include
Ultrafast optoelectronic devices using 2D materials for future ultrafast communication.
Infrared detectors based on metal-insulator transition.
Polariton and their condensates in 2D materials/plasmonic hybrid systems and their device applications.
Single photon sources and quantum sensors for quantum information technology.
1D,2D magnetic/spintronic devices and their magneto-optic characterization/modulation.
Positions for postdocs, graduates, undergraduate interns are available.
