Seonjun (Sean) Kang

I am an Assistant Professor of the Business and Information Technology Department at Kummar College, Missouri University of Science and Technology.

My primary research interests lie in the following two domains: (i) Artificial Intelligence (AI)-enabled online services in diverse areas such as open collaboration and social media, and (ii) the interaction between information technology (IT) and human on digital platforms. 

I employ online and offline experiments and big data analytics using machine learning to analyze the impact of digital applications on users' behavior. I am also interested in designing artifacts in knowledge management using a design science approach and have initiated research in this domain. 

I received my PH.D. in Information Systems from Virginia Commonwealth University. I hold MS in information technology management from the University of Texas at Dallas, MS in management information systems, and BS in business administration from Hanyang University.
