Welcome!
I am SeongJu Jeong, a Post-doctoral Fellow in the School of Geosciences at the University of Oklahoma (OU). I completed my BS and M.S. degrees at Pukyong National University (PKNU) in South Korea, and my PhD degree at Southern Methodist University (SMU) in Texas, USA. My research is focused on earthquake source analysis associated with industrial fluid injection.
The aim of my work is to dissect the complex interaction between subsurface fluid and fault slip behavior based on a two-prong approach, which combines observational seismic data analysis and numerical modeling. My goal is to develop physics-based earthquake models that can contribute to seismic hazard mitigation and earthquake prediction.
