He is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Computer Science at the University of Suwon. He holds affiliations with the Birkbeck Institute for Data Analytics (BIDA) and the Threat Intelligence Lab, as well as with the King’s College London Financial Mathematics Group at the University of London. He also serves as an Editorial Board Member of the Korean Institute of Intelligent Systems (KIIS).

Prior to his current academic post, he served as a Senior AI Research Engineer and Data Scientist in the AI & Big Data Research Division at LG. His research encompassed eXplainable Artificial Intelligence (XAI), AI-driven economic and financial forecasting, time-series modeling, anomaly detection, and advanced predictive analytics. In this role, he contributed to resolving complex business challenges by designing and implementing AI-enabled methodologies that informed strategic, data-driven decision-making at  LG's leadership.
