I am a scholar of International Relations (IR) and East Asian Politics, currently serving as an assistant professor at the the Department of Political Science and Diplomacy at Kyungpook National University in Daegu, South Korea. My research interests are wide-ranging and cut across international security, international political economy (IPE), and political psychology. My expertise includes: Signaling Perception, Democratic Credibility, North Korea-US Relations, Aid Effectiveness, AI Ethics, etc. I use both quantitative and qualitative methods for my research. Several of my manuscripts are published at Journal of Conflict Resolution, Political Psychology, Conflict Management and Peace Science, and other IR journals. My dissertation research was funded by the US National Science Foundation.
