ABOUT SEO & SEO LAW
Founded in 1963, Sponsors for Educational Opportunity (SEO) is an innovator in education, mentorship, positive peer pressure, high standards, and networks to turn untapped potential into newfound greatness. SEO Law helps future lawyers thrive in law school and excel in their careers. For more than 30 years, SEO Law has served as a pipeline linking talented, underrepresented pre-law students to elite global law firms, with more than 1,700 Fellows participating since 1986. Through SEO Law programs, aspiring, underrepresented pre-law students receive access to critical educational, career development, and internship opportunities that propel them to succeed in the legal profession, all before even starting law school.
SEO Law Catalyst: A year-long program that assists students in applying, and gaining admission, to law school. Participants take a free, 15-week LSAT preparation course, attend workshops to strengthen their application materials, receive individualized reviews of application materials, gain access to attorney mentorship, participate in exclusive roundtable discussions with admissions officers at law schools nationwide, and more
SEO Law Fellowship: The only program of its kind to offer talented, incoming law school students the opportunity to work at a top law firm during the summer before law school. Law students begin our year-long Fellowship with a 10-week summer experience that includes SEO Law’s exclusive Law Institute and a paid internship at an SEO Law partner firm. Fellows also receive supplemental academic tutoring during their first year of law school.
SEO CareerCon/OCI Workshops: Virtual career workshops, panels, and interview coaching sessions to prepare law students to navigate their internship search (e.g., panels on how to ace law firm interviews and how to land first-year and second-year summer legal internships).
