Sentry: Hidden Camera Detector
Last updated: June 22, 2026
The short version: Sentry works entirely on your device. We do not create accounts, we do not collect, store, sell or share your personal data, and your scans never leave your iPhone.
This Privacy Policy explains how the Sentry: Hidden Camera Detector app (“Sentry”, “the app”, “we”, “us”) handles information. By using the app you agree to this policy. Sentry is developed by Md. Nasar Uddin Redoy (BDREEM IT SOLUTIONS LLC).
Sentry is built to be private by design. We do not require an account or login. We do not collect your name, email, phone number, contacts, photos, precise location, or device identifiers for tracking. We do not use third-party advertising or analytics SDKs, and we do not track you across apps or websites.
All scanning happens locally on your iPhone. Nothing from the detectors is uploaded to us or to any third party:
Camera (Infrared & Lens Reflection): the live camera feed is processed on your device to measure infrared light and bright lens-like reflections. The viewfinder is not recorded or transmitted. No photo is saved unless you choose to capture evidence, which is stored only on your device.
Magnetic Field: readings from your device’s magnetometer are measured and shown locally. They are not stored remotely.
Wi-Fi Network Audit: Sentry reads the names of devices on the Wi-Fi network you are currently connected to in order to flag possible cameras. This information is used only on your device and is never sent anywhere or connected to.
Bluetooth Scan: Sentry listens for nearby advertised Bluetooth devices to estimate proximity. It does not pair with or connect to any device, and this data stays on your device.
If you save a scan to your Scan History (a Pro feature), the result and any evidence photos you capture are stored locally on your iPhone. We cannot access this data. Deleting a scan, or deleting the app, removes it from your device.
Purchases are processed by Apple through the App Store. We never see or store your payment details. To manage subscriptions and unlock features, the app uses RevenueCat, Inc. as a purchase-management service. RevenueCat processes your anonymous, randomly generated app user ID together with transaction and subscription status (for example, which plan you bought and whether it is active). This information is used solely to deliver and restore your purchases and is not linked to your personal identity by us.

Camera — to scan for infrared light and lens reflections.
Local Network — to detect cameras and devices on your current Wi-Fi.
Bluetooth — to detect nearby surveillance devices and estimate distance.
You can grant or revoke any permission at any time in the iOS Settings app. The app only uses these permissions for the scanning features described above.
Sentry is not directed to children under 13 and does not knowingly collect any personal information from children.
Because your scan data and history remain on your device, they are protected by your device’s own security (passcode, Face ID / Touch ID and iOS encryption). We hold no servers containing your personal data.
No detector — software or hardware — can guarantee that it finds every hidden camera. Sentry is an aid to help you check a space and is provided “as is” without any warranty of detection accuracy.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated “Last updated” date.
