On 10th September 2025, the children of Asha Kirana Special School, joyfully organized ‘Sensory & Tactile Activity Day’. The event was graced by our Principal, Sr. Sincy Sebastian SCN, and Vice Principal, Mrs. Joyce Soares, who encouraged and motivated the intellectually challenged children with their presence.
The program aimed to engage the children in exploring different textures and sensations through carefully designed activities. A variety of materials such as cotton, pulses, plastic flowers, wool, buttons, colour papers, bindis, beads, stones, and ice cream sticks were used.
These hands-on activities not only stimulated the children’s senses but also fostered their creativity, exploration, and imagination. The experience contributed significantly to enhancing their sensory awareness, fine motor skills, and hand-eye coordination.
The children participated with great enthusiasm and joy, making the day a truly meaningful and enriching celebration of their unique abilities.
