WATER BOTTLE:
In line with the University of Padua’s no single-use plastic policy, we encourage all participants to bring a reusable water bottle. This initiative helps reduce waste and minimize our environmental impact. There is a water dispenser that provides cold and room temperature water right outside the conference room.
Getting around Padua is easy! The city is very walkable, and most places can also be reached by bike. If you’d like to cycle, you can purchase the Dott 7-day pass on the Dott app, which includes 100 minutes of rides over 7 days and can be used on all Dott vehicles (bikes, e-bikes and e-scooters). If you prefer to use an e-scooter, please remember that wearing a helmet is mandatory—otherwise, you may be fined. If you need to take the tram, you can simply tap your contactless bank card on board. For buses, tickets should be purchased either through the app (BusItalia Veneto) or from the ticket machines before boarding. Taxis in Padua are not usually hailed on the street. It is generally better to book them in advance by phone, or to pick them up at one of the official taxi ranks around the city.
WIFI ACCESS:
All participants can connect to the campus Wi-Fi network via eduroam. We kindly ask you to set up your eduroam account before arriving at the summer school to ensure a smooth connection on site.
For participants who do not have access to eduroam, a limited number of guest accounts will be available at the registration desk.
