— PLEASE CHECK GROUP ME IF YOU PLAN ON DOING CONCESSIONS FOR THE 1/16 GAME—
Senior SGA — Class of 2026
This page is here to answer common questions and keep things running smoothly. Please check here first before reaching out!
Q: What if I can’t make a meeting?
A: Meetings are mandatory unless otherwise stated. You must contact the Secretary (Lauren) before 8th period. Telling a friend does not count.
Q: How many absences am I allowed?
A: You’re allowed up to 3 unexcused absences a semester before removal from SGA.
Q: How can I check my attendance?
A: Use the Attendance Log linked on the Home page to track how many meetings you've missed.
Q: Where can I find meeting notes?
A: Meeting notes are posted under “Meeting Notes” on the Home page. Each meeting has its own tab in the linked Google Doc.
Q: Do I need to take my own notes?
A: Notes are provided, but you're responsible for knowing what's covered. Reading them is expected if you miss a meeting.
Q: How do I sign up to help at an event?
A: Sign-up links (if needed) will be posted under the Quick Links tab. Otherwise, sign-ups will be handled in meeting.
Q: How do I log my service hours?
A: Volunteer sheets are available in the front office. Turn these in to our sponsor (Mrs. Atienza) at the end of each semester. You're expected to do 5 hours a quarter.
Q: What counts as service hours?
A: You can log any volunteer work you do at WCPA or in the community. This includes helping at school events, assisting teachers, working booths, set-up/clean-up, or other approved service activities. While all community service counts, we encourage SGA members to complete most of their hours through WCPA events since our goal is to help create a more positive school environment.
Q: Where do I find announcements and reminders?
A: Live updates go through Group Me. This site is for all official documents, logs, and general info. We also use GroupMe to communicate event times and dates.
Q: Who do I go to for questions?
A: See the Officer Contact Info tab for officer roles and what each person handles.
Q: Can I suggest fundraiser ideas?
A: Yes! Bring your ideas to an SGA meeting or fill out the form under Quick Links. We’re always open to creative, school-appropriate ideas that can help raise funds for senior events.
Q: How do I sign up to help during fundraisers?
A: Sign-ups will happen during meetings, so make sure you're there. If you're absent, follow up with the Treasurer or Secretary to see if help is still needed.
Q: Where do I turn in my volunteer hours form?
A: Completed service hour forms should be turned in to Mrs. Atienza (our sponsor) by the end of each semester. Make sure your hours are filled out clearly and completely and signed off by a staff member or the supervisor of your activity.
Reach out to our President or Vice President. If it’s related to specific duties or responsibilities, you can contact the officer listed on the Contact Info page.
