About Me

To start off, my family is not your ordinary everyday family. I have lived with my grandparents most of my life, but now I live with my grandma, Lynne and my dad, Mike. My mom, Annissa and my dad got divorced when I was a tyke. I have an older sister, Bailey, and we have different dads. Bailey is finishing up pharmacy school at KU. She has always been a huge role model in my life. We didn’t get along as well when she lived here, but her senior year of high school, we realized that we wouldn’t always get the chance to having bonding times like we did. I also have a younger sister, Emmery and we have different moms. I have enjoyed being able to watch her grow, and I love being a big sister. My grandma Lynne and I have always been really close because she pretty much raised me. I know I can always count on her. She has been through a lot, and she is such a strong lady, and I am so thankful for her.

In high school, I cheered all four years, besides basketball season of my senior year. I enjoyed cheering because it led me to knowing what it was like to be on a team. I picked cheer because I have always been outgoing and peppy. I quit cheer after football season of my senior year because I realized this my last chance for everything. Since I have cheered all four years, I have never been in a student section and never got the other experiences. So I decided to quit to get to experience new things before it was too late.

After high school, I plan to attend a cosmetology school to gain my license to become a cosmetologist. Throughout high school I have taken a business class for my future, I have taken two art classes, anatomy, and I have also worked at a local salon. Working at the salon is what really led me to building a huge passion for cosmetology. I have been able to be in the atmosphere of a salon. I have seen the good parts and the not so good parts. Working there has made me so excited to one day be a cosmetologist myself. My senior project is also all based off cosmetology. I have clients and have to complete a service on them. Ater that I have to complete a style book with before and after pictures. That will be really good to put on my resume. I want to be a cosmetologist because I love doing makeup, nails, and hair. I also like the fact that there are many different options in this industry. I won’t be doing the same exact thing everyday and that excites me. I have visited a couple schools and plan to visit more. Once I find the school for me, I will fill out my application to get accepted.

One of my favorite quotes is “Class of 2019, it is 2019”. This quote just really makes me think that before we all know it, we will be done with high school and out to start our own journeys. My favorite leisure activity is hanging out with my friends. They always know how to brighten my day. Even if we are just laying around doing nothing or playing ping-pong, we are always having fun.
