Privacy Policy for Senior Home

Your privacy is important to us. This privacy policy explains how the Senior Home app (“Senior Home”) handles the information it can access on your device.
Information We Access
The App requests a limited set of Android permissions so it can provide its core functionality:
- Contacts (`android.permission.READ_CONTACTS`) – Used only when you choose to import an existing contact into the launcher’s favourites list. Contact details stay on your device and are not transmitted anywhere.
- Phone (`android.permission.CALL_PHONE`) – Allows the App to start a phone call when you tap the call shortcut for a favourite contact. The dialled number is the one you saved.
- SMS (`android.permission.SEND_SMS`) – Allows the App to open your default SMS app with the selected contact’s number when you choose the message action.
- Query installed apps (`android.permission.QUERY_ALL_PACKAGES`) – Required for the launcher home screen experience so the App can list and launch the other apps installed on your device.
- Internet (`android.permission.INTERNET`) – Enables optional features such as opening web links from shortcuts. The App does not send personal data to any server.
The App does not collect, store, or share personal information outside of your device. All data (favourite contacts, call shortcuts, pinned apps, and settings) stays local to the device.
How We Use the Information
- Contact details you import are stored locally so the launcher can provide one-tap call or message shortcuts.
- Phone and SMS permissions are used strictly to trigger the system dialer or messaging app with the number you selected.
- The App never shares your contacts, phone usage, or any other personal information with third parties.
Data Retention and Control
You can remove contacts or pinned apps at any time from within the App. Uninstalling the App deletes all locally stored data created by it.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy to reflect new features or legal requirements. If we make significant changes, we will update the effective date above and highlight the updates in the App or the accompanying documentation.
