Experimentation --> "Take Chances, Make Mistakes, Get Messy!"

Watching students learn through experimentation is one of my favorite parts of the day. During my student teaching, I had the opportunity to teach a waves unit where students were doing daily experiments. Allowing mistakes to happen during experimentation is just a step in the process to finding an accurate strategy or solution. Exploration fosteres curiosity and problem solving skills in students. During experimentation, we can integrate whole group work, partner work, or independent work depending on our objective or purpose for the lesson. After experimentation, students are able to document their process in thier journals which help us as teachers track thier learning.
