Personal Health Tracker

Requirements

    • User Requirement 5
      • Keep track of personal personal health stats. Users will be able to calculate their recommended daily calorie intake and track track it.
    • User Requirement 4
      • Each recipe and ingredient will display nutritional information. Calories, fat, cholesterol, sodium and protein will be available.

Design

  • At the top of the mobile page is the RecipeFinder Header and Task Bar, preset to "Personal Health Tracker". See the Header & Taskbar page for more information.
  • At the top of the Personal Health Tracker is a graph that displays some of the most important food intake calories. The Summary section provides a legend for the graph. The graph displays data from the last two weeks in trend line format.
  • The Summary section provides a list of displayed nutrition details. Tapping on the title displays a drop down list of possible options. Tapping on an option will add or remove it to the chart.
  • Scrolling up and down allows the user to see more items in the summary section.

Usability Goals

  • Overall nutrition and caloric intake should be easily presented to the user
  • Health information should update in real time whenever a recipe is selected in the recipe tab.
  • If a specific eating goal is defined in the user's profile, recipes should be suggested to the user that match the remaining caloric intake and nutritional needs of that goal.
  • Recommendations may be made to the user to help attain their goals/healthy eating in general.

User Experience Goals

  • Having the nutritional information on each recipe helps users achieve their health goals.
  • The health tracker will help motivate users by showing their progress and projected health improvements as each week goes by.
  • Recommendations may be made to the user to help attain their goals/healthy eating in general.
  • Recommendations, caloric intake, and nutritional information must be displayed as much a positive manner as possible, as not to discourage users or have them feel humiliated.
