Ms. Walker

Ms. Walker is so excited to begin her fourth year at Seneca Valley HS! A little background: she grew up in Georgia, graduating with a Bachelors Degree in Choral Music Education with a History Minor from Kennesaw State University. She has training in classical, jazz, and musical theatre genres and is a member of three a cappella barbershop organizations.

We are still recovering from and through the pandemic. It is no secret that we lost some time together and had to adjust our routine over the past few years. However, my goal for this year is to continue to grow our Seneca Valley Singer traditions and community. We have the power to make a great impact, so why not go for it!

Because of the variances in school over the past few years, every singer is in a different place. Some singers are rock star sight readers, some singers are pitch perfect, some singers have confidence to spare, some singers prefer the risers to the spotlight, some singers are amazing at creating community and friendships, and some singers are born leaders. No place is a bad place. Everyone brings their specific strengths to our choir program.

This year’s focus will be meeting the singers where they are and using each other and myself as resources to continue to grow and learn. I’m ready to bring this program to new heights and I can only do it with the amazing help of my students.
