Hi all -- new job means new tools to use. I'm using Mac for my laptop but all apps are Microsoft so still getting use to the change. One of my responsibilities is to take notes during meeting and share it with my team afterwards. I'm using OneNote for Mac App V 16.45 (not the web version). I've been told by my manager that I can use the share button on the top left corner to send the notes directly via email. When I did that the Mail App popped up and wants me to choose a mail account provider. I don't want to use the Mail App from Mac. I want to use the Outlook for Mac App instead. Is there a way to sync the OneNote with my Outlook App? This would really make things easier for me at work. I don't want to use another app to do one task. I want to be able to simplify my workflow. The Disable Outlook send email to OneNote option policy setting is located in the Microsoft OneNote 2013 and Microsoft OneNote 2010 administrative templates, under OneNote Options | Sent to OneNote.

You can send your notebook notes to OneNote or Evernote automatically using the "Auto Send" option.

Important: If you use your smartpen with more than one device, set up Auto-Send only on your primary device. Auto-Send is device-specific, so setting up Auto-Send on multiple devices creates duplicate entries. For example, don't Auto-Send Journal 2 to your OneNote/Evernote account from your iPad and also Auto-Send Journal 2 to OneNote Evernote from your iPhone. This would create two OneNote/Evernote notebooks with the same content. To avoid this type of duplication, use Auto-Send on one device per notebook.

NOTE: By default, Auto-Send sends .PNG images of note pages. It does not send pencast audio recordings so these must be sent manually (please see 83302 - LIVESCRIBE+ - Exporting (sharing) editable text with Evernote). After sending an email to OneNote from Outlook I then archive the email in Outlook. Now if I want to access the email again via the object link stored in OneNote the object is no longer accessible??

is there a limit to the number of selected emails that can be sent to onenote at once. I recently selected a large number of emails from an outlook folder and used the send to onenote button. It took some time but appeared to work however when i go to onenote i noticed that about half of those emails only contain the subject, none of the other content shows.

In OneNote, templates are assigned to a page when the page is being created and cannot be changed afterwards. Therefore, to make sure that a specific template is always being applied when you send an Outlook item to OneNote, you must change the default template for the section that it will be send to.

I agree! This is something that I am seeing as a gap as well. The only thought right now as a workaround is to create a folder on another drive that has the onenote files on there and create a link to the file on the smartsheet. This way people would be able to access the notes and the OneNote can be synced with the desktop application for the PM to use.

I took a look at the onenote-md-exporter. It looks straight forward, and I downloaded the files, and prerequisite software. Problem is, the instructions mention a OneNoteMdExporter.exe that I can't find anywhere.

Any ideas, or am I misunderstanding something?

I see how to trigger an email when a OneNote page is edited or added, and I see how to regularly schedule an email. Is there a way to regularly send an email containing the contents of a specific OneNote page, whether or not the page has been updated?

As mentioned earlier, Outlook integration with OneNote is limited to Outlook2003. If you use an earlier version of Outlook or another e-mail program,you'll need to send the note as an attachment or copy the contents of thenote and paste it into your e-mail message. Notes are sent using HTMLformatting, with handwritten notes converted to images.

If you decide not to send the note, close the e-mail envelope by using theFile > E-mail menu or by clicking the E-mail toolbar button. If you use the Xat the upper right to close the message, you'll also close OneNote.
