The Southeast Minnesota Federation Music Club (SEMNFMC) is a proud chapter of the National Federation of Music Clubs. As a non-profit organization, our mission is to foster musical growth and education in students of all ages and abilities, and to provide a place for music teachers to connect, share ideas, and learn from one another.
We encourage students of all instruments - piano, orchestral instruments, band instruments, harp, organ, voice, and more - by providing a valuable opportunity to perform and receive constructive feedback from experienced judges. This helps students refine their skills and gain confidence in their musical journey.
The Southeast Minnesota Federation Music Club (SEMNFMC) is a non-profit organization formed to encourage music education and to achieve high musical standards in accordance with the goals of the National Federation of Music Clubs and the Minnesota Federation of Music Clubs. We are dedicated to dignifying our profession by:
Stimulating interest in good music through promotion of American composers.
Furthering music through activities which encourage and support the performance and creation of music.
Behaving as professionals, conducting ourselves and our studios according to the highest professional standards.
Promoting professionalism, personal growth, and supporting fellow teachers.
Welcoming area public and private music teachers as members.
Festival Program
One of our key initiatives is the Festival Program, where students showcase their talents in a supportive and professional environment. Each performance is assessed by a judge who offers feedback to help students improve and continue their musical development.
