Dr. Nimai Mishra

Dr. Nimai Mishra is an Associate Professor at ICT-IOC Bhubaneswar, Institute of Chemical Technology, Mumbai, whose research focuses on Nanochemistry and Functional Nanomaterials for Optoelectronic and Sustainable Energy Applications. His work centers on the colloidal synthesis of perovskite and other semiconductor nanocrystals, with emphasis on understanding and tuning their surface chemistry, stability, and photophysical properties for applications such as LEDs, photocatalysis, and solar-energy conversion. 

He received his M.Sc. in Chemistry from IIT Madras in 2008 and his Ph.D. from the National University of Singapore in 2013, followed by postdoctoral research at Los Alamos National Laboratory, USA, and the Italian Institute of Technology, Genova, Italy. He joined SRM University as an Assistant Professor in 2017 and then moved to ICT-IOC Bhubaneswar in 2022 as an Associate Professor. With this international research background, Dr. Mishra leads efforts toward the rational design of advanced nanomaterials that bridge fundamental chemistry with real-world energy and device technologies.
