Dr. Oktie Hassanzadeh is a Senior Research Staff Member at the IBM T.J. Watson Research Center, where he leads research in semantic technologies, knowledge graphs, and data management. He has been recognized with numerous academic and corporate awards, including the Semantic Web Challenge at ISWC, two best-paper awards at the Extended Semantic Web Conference (ESWC), first prizes in the Triplification Challenge at the SEMANTiCS Conference, and most recently, the top prize at the FinCausal-2022 Shared Task. He earned his M.Sc. and Ph.D. from the University of Toronto, where he was awarded both the prestigious IBM PhD fellowship and the Yahoo! Key Scientific Challenges award.
