I believe that education should be equitable for all students, not just for those who align with our personal preferences or share the same views as the staff and administration. Every child deserves a fair opportunity to succeed.
Education should prepare students to make informed decisions about their future. This includes providing an accurate understanding of our history (without revision), a grasp of the current state of the world, and equipping them with the academic and trade skills needed to make informed career choices in an ever-changing landscape.
Transparency within school administration is crucial. Our community deserves honesty about the goals and plans of our schools. Accurate reporting on current achievement levels is essential for planning and improving our children's future.
The decisions made by the school board should be driven solely by the goal of enhancing our children's education—not by personal agendas. Our focus must remain on what is best for the students, shaping curriculum and staffing to support that mission.
To prepare our children for an increasingly complex and evolving world, they need to develop a broad range of skills—both analytical and compassionate. Currently, I believe our society is falling short in equipping our students with the necessary tools to craft a successful future, one they can thrive in and one we can be proud of.
