The Parish Meeting is the most local tier of local government. Parishes of the size of Selside may have a parish meeting rather than an elected and fund-holding parish council. The Clerk of the Selside and Fawcett Forest Parish Meeting is Simon Elliott.
Parish meetings open to all residents are held at least once a year. Minutes of past meetings can be downloaded below.
Parish business can include anything related to the quality of day-to-day life in the parish, such as planning, district council services like waste disposal, health services, and county council services such as highways, and independent matters like telecommunications.
Copies of Parish Meeting minutes since 2017 are available on request through info@selside.net
