One of the objectives of the Selma Charity League is to train women for effective volunteer service. The Selma Charity League members support by volunteering to assist community agencies that do not have a need for League volunteers on an ongoing basis, but may have a need to staff a one or two day special event or have a one time need for extra volunteers. Any non-profit organization, charity or government agency in the Dallas County area is eligible for application. To apply, please fill out and submit the Volunteer Request form.
The League requests two to four weeks advance notice of an event, if possible, in order for League approval and volunteers to be obtained. All volunteer requests must be pre-approved.
All volunteer requests must be for community-based, hands on opportunities and fall into one (or more) of the League’s four Impact Areas: social, economic, educational, civic, and cultural.
Please note that the League cannot guarantee volunteers for any event. If volunteers choose to sign up for your event ,you will obtain this information from the Community Relations Chair person.
