My research focuses on the mathematical modelling and analysis of infectious disease dynamics in ecological systems. I analyze deterministic models using systems of Ordinary Differential Equations (ODEs) and stochastic models formulated through Stochastic Differential Equations (SDEs), utilizing ItĂ´ calculus to capture the role of environmental randomness. My work aims to understand how demographic heterogeneity, transmission mechanisms, and ecological interactions influence disease spread, persistence, and control. I integrate model-based approaches with data fitting and statistical analysis to validate models and extract biologically meaningful insights, providing a robust framework for forecasting outbreaks and evaluating control strategies in both structured populations and fluctuating environments.
