Self-regulation is a fundamental aspect of everyday life. Yet, research in this field remains fragmented across diverse theories, concepts, and measurement approaches. This lack of coherence hinders theoretical advancement, complicates the design of effective interventions, and makes it challenging to synthesize findings across studies.
This Small Group Meeting aims to take a vital first step toward addressing these challenges. Designed as an interactive workshop, it brings together researchers from all career stages to reflect, exchange ideas, and collaboratively shape a shared vision for the future of self-regulation science.
Over the course of three days, we will collaboratively explore, envision, and plan the future of self-regulation science:
Day 1 – Mapping the Blur
We will begin by charting the current landscape of self-regulation research, examine key concepts, and identify challenges.
Day 2 – Envisioning the Future
We will define what a useful science of self-regulation could look like.
Day 3 – From Vision to Action
The final day focuses on translating ideas into collaborative action.
The program blends keynote talks, small group work, plenary discussions, and creative exercises. Participants also have the option to present a poster to share ongoing research, receive feedback, and connect it to the broader themes of the meeting.
Join us in shaping the future of self-regulation science!
