Our Mission
SelfFirstSelfWorth is our idea of a safe place where everyone is welcome. We are here to raise awareness on how High School students can try to stop social comparison and the effects it has amongst youth. We are aiming to help all who struggle with self-comparison, We will be sharing skills to practice and help with this topic. Using our different platforms of social media we will be posting how to focus on your strengths.

Our Mental Health Consultant
Gemma Wells
Gemma Wells is a registered nurse with a masters of science in nursing. She is currently positioned as a senior director at our local hospital here in Southeast Wisconsin with over 30 years of experience! She started her career in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) and worked and managed her way through many different areas. One of Gemma's areas of specialty was providing management and oversight to a new eating disorder program at her hospital. Gemma mentioned that self-image can sometimes change the perception an individual sees in the mirror. She has also helped us in the understanding of Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT) along with some of DBT's acronyms.
