Both my mother and father originate from a small town in Coahuila, Mexico called Viesca. Pictured here is my mother (to the left) with her older sister (to the right) outside their home enjoying the one and only time snow was seen in this small town in the middle of the desert.

Pictured here is my father (circled) with his siblings and parents outside the hoem they grew up in, in the same town as my mother.
Just after 5 months of marriage both of my parents moved to Cananea so that my father could work a construction job.
My mother doesn't have fond memories of this place as she remembers it as being very cold as well as being apart from her family.
My parents moved to the city, closest to Viesca; Torreon, Cohuila where they had my oldest brother. This was again for work as my father's job in Cananea had ended.
Torreon is a place we still visit often as it very near Viesca and is where my father's father currentky lives with two of his sisters.
This move was once again for work as my father's job in Torreon had ended.
My mother is still very fond of Durango as it is a beautiful city and had fun outing opportunities for her and my oldest brother.

This was again for work as my father's job in Durango had ended. Here they had my second oldest brother and lived here for about a year.
Being a border city, Laredo had many job opportunities and would house my parents once again about six months after they moved.

My mother remembers Chihuahua fondly as it was a smaller town that reminded her of her hometown in Coahuila.
My parents foud themselves back in Nuevo Laredo for work and with a new baby girl, my older sister.
This time around my mother's older sister lived in Nuevo Laredo with my parents and siblings.
My mother's entire immediate family was living in San Antonio - which served as a great motivating force in their move. During this move my grandafthter was able to grant my mother and siblings citizenship - which she then was able to grant to my father as well.
My parents have now lived here for 30 years and is where they had me, their youngest daughter.
