This sketch is composed of a system of lines, 10 in each group. The layering and variation in both line thickness and length add complexity to a fairly simple image. The lines come together to create the silhouette of a sun with special emphasis on its waves of light.
Utilizing markers and a picture of a highway in Boston as my reference, I rendered an image rich in lines. The closer something is to your eyes, the more detailed it appears. I attempted to replicate this notion while being limited to three colors.Â
