Hi there, I'm Shubh!
I'm a seismology post-doctoral researcher at the University of South Carolina, working with Dan Frost. I recently completed my PhD in Geophysics under the supervision of Caroline Eakin at the Australian National University.
In general, I like to study seismic waves using various observational tools to infer information about the Earth they traverse. Currently, I'm using seismic arrays to look for evidence of subducted slabs in the mid-mantle.
For my PhD, I used the Lake Eyre 5G deployment data to understand the origin of earthquakes in the region (Agrawal et al., 2024) and to seismically image the Earth underneath (Agrawal et al., 2022; 2023).
I like being outdoors - be it for a climb, bushwalk, run, or to read some fiction. I'm driven by curiosity and a commitment to improving scientific communication, open data practices, and inclusive research environments.
