Welcome to my web CV homepage. I am Sein Chung, Ph.D.(c) in Chemical Engineering and a specialist in chain dimensional tuning of conjugated polymers and advanced thin film materials for next-generation electronic devices. My research expertise spans the structural and electronic property analysis of conjugated polymer thin films, as well as organic, metal oxide, and perovskite thin films, using synchrotron-based scattering and multi-modal characterization techniques.
I have systematically investigated structure–property relationships in stretchable TFTs, organic solar cells, thermoelectric devices, and synaptic TFTs, leveraging a wide range of spectroscopic, electrical, and crystallographic analyses. In addition to organic thin films, I have extensive experience with metal oxide and perovskite films, including their fabrication, characterization, and device integration, enabling a comprehensive understanding of hybrid and multi-layered electronic systems.
Currently, I am keenly interested in developing AI/ML-driven experimental databases and combinatorial optimization algorithms (Python-based) to accelerate the discovery of relationship between optimal active material crystallographic structures and processing conditions for next-generation electronics. My interdisciplinary approach integrates polymer chemistry, device physics, data analytics to pioneer new paradigms in future electronic materials research.
