Making 3D stained glass projects takes a few different skills that you need to develop. However, the pieces can be used in different ways rather than simply placing them in a sunny window. I typically use lead-free solder for any pieces that will be handled frequently.
Rose Jewellery box
I made this one for my mother, as she loved roses.
Gaudi style piece
This piece was inspired by Antoni Gaudi's Sagrada Familia Basilica in Barcelona. I used colours similar to the colour panels on display in the basilica, and made the piece to be reminiscent of the arching shapes that Gaudi employed. I had purchased a chandelier crystal from the gift shop at La Pedrera (Casa Milà), an apartment building designed by Gaudi and finally had a use for it.
Patchwork Lamp
This lamp was made with leftover glass pieces from the Peruvian Carpet custom panels that I did several years earlier. I made a wooden base and added a small lamp with a switch.
Orange Swirl Lamp
This lamp was made with small crystals to allow the light inside to shine through. I made a wooden base but used metal rods to suspend it above the wood. A metal frame was attached to hold the light inside.
Pressed Glass jewellery box
This box was made with a piece of antique pressed glass as a lid. Metal feet were purchased to raise it up.
Pressed Glass jewellery box
This inside of the box was lines with some pink felt.
3D Stars
These stars are made with 12 identical pieces of glass. You can make them in any size and with virtually any glass colour.

Bevel Candle Holders
These candle holders are made with pre-cut beveled glass pieces and some additional coloured glass for highlights. The base is usually made with a piece of mirror to help reflect candle light.
