Social-Ecological Interaction Lab

   Building on the PI's expertise in marine ecology and conservation science, my research will focus on three integrated themes. 

  First, we will conduct field-based coastal ecology research to examine species coexistence, niche differentiation, and community structure across environmental gradients, linking local ecological processes to broader macroecological patterns. Second, we are interested in developing long-term biodiversity monitoring programs through citizen science, generating robust ecological datasets while strengthening public participation and local community stewardship in marine conservation.

Third, we will advance interdisciplinary social–ecological research by integrating ecological and social science approaches to address coastal resource use, conservation governance, and ecosystem services.

Together, these research directions aim to develop scientifically rigorous and socially relevant strategies for marine biodiversity conservation, while strengthening the connection between science, society, and sustainable ecosystem management.
