Sehyun is a systems engineer who designs communication as infrastructure for scalable machine intelligence. His work spans wireless systems, hardware-aware communication, and system-level co-design across communication and machine learning.
He is a Ph.D. candidate in Electrical Engineering at POSTECH, advised by Prof. Hyun Jong Yang at the Advanced Intelligent Systems Lab (AiSLab). He received his B.S. degree in Electrical Engineering from POSTECH in February 2023. Since January 2025, he has been an external research fellow at the Institute of New Media and Communications, Seoul National University. He is scheduled to join Stanford University as a visiting student researcher starting August 2026.
Research Interests
My research focuses on system-level design of wireless communication under practical constraints such as latency, limited observability, and signaling overhead, with selective use of machine learning where it is effective.
My research interests include:
Channel prediction and estimation in modern wireless communication systems
AI-based optimization of CSI feedback overhead under limited signaling resources
Digital twin-based environments for AI-RAN training and realistic CSI data generation
More broadly, I am interested in designing communication infrastructure that supports scalable and efficient machine intelligence in large-scale networks.
