Looking for accommodation in Fjordgård on Senja to hike the famous Hesten or Segla?
We run our home as a small guest house, meaning we usually occupy one of the bedrooms and rent the others out to travellers
looking for an authentic experience while exploring Senja.
When we are not home ourselves, it is often also possible to rent the entire vacation home for those preferring an entire house for themselves.
Apart from the bedrooms, the house features a fully equipped, open kitchen, a shared bathroom, a balcony, a patio and a BBQ hut.
There is a living room with a place to eat and couches to relax as well as another lounge to sit upstairs.

We are located on Senja, right in-between Tromsø and the Lofoten, and just off the national tourist route, often called one of the most scenic road trips in the world. Senja is the second largest island in Norway, and can be reached from the mainland via a bridge, or one of the two ferries, or a fast public transport boat from Tromsø. The house is right at the foot of mount Segla, amidst untouched nature and nestled in between the fjord and mountains. From here, you can see Segla, the Ørnfjord, and the small island Husøy, and you will have spectacular views from every room.
We are just a few meters away from the sea, bus stop, 24h supermarket with an integrated coffee corner, Segla Pub, and the trailhead to Hesten and Segla, some of the most popular hikes in Norway.
We lots of sport equipment at the house that we are happy to rent out if we are not out on adventures with it.
Please inquire about equipment when booking for the best chances of availability.
We have SUPs and kayaks.
We also have life vests, but can't provide dry or wetsuits, which are crucial in winter.
For safety reasons, we can only rent kayaks to experienced paddlers with a våttkort certificate (or other equivalent), but there are guided kayak tours on Senja for those without.
We have an inflatable hot tub, which is perfect for cozy evenings outside and aurora gazing.
Please inquire about potential availability well before your stay since the hot tub is weather-dependent, needs to be set up and filled by 2 people for several hours, as well as heat up for at least 24h to become cozy warm.
