About me
I am an applied microeconomist interested in understanding the impact of disadvantage on human capital development, in particular early childhood development. I have a decade of experience conducting robust evaluations to drive real-world public policy decisions across South Asia, UK and Europe. I often work in collaboration with policymakers for evaluating government-led interventions implemented at scale and translate research findings into actionable insights for evidence-based policymaking.I am currently working as a Principal Research Fellow (Economist) at the Institute for Employment Studies that is a leading independent centre for research and evidence-based consultancy in employment and education in the UK. I lead a team of economists who bring their expertise for evaluating public policies that have the potential to break transmission of intergenerational poverty. I have previously held research positions at the innovation agency NESTA and as a postdoctoral scholar at the University of Glasgow on an ESRC-FCDO grant. I graduated from University of Glasgow with a PhD in Economics in 2019. I was awarded the Adam Smith Business School PhD Excellence Prize in Economics for my dissertation. Research interests:About me
