ACCA known as Association of Chartered Certified Accountancy is a globally recognized professional accountancy body. It is a globally recognized certification (applicable in 181 countries) that allows you to work as a Qualified Accountant in any part of the world. ACCA is the world's most forward-thinking professional accountancy body with more than 233,000 fully qualified members and 536,000 students. 

Students who have passed/appeared +2 from any stream can join ACCA starting from Applied Knowledge Level. Students who have just cleared their class 10 examinations, or do not qualify as per the aforementioned criteria, can still register for the ACCA qualification via Foundation in Accountancy (FIA) route. 

There is no provision of entrance test to get registration in ACCA.

Registration is open throughout the year to eligible students. 

To qualify as an ACCA member, a candidate will be required to do the following:

• Attempt and clear 13 exams (ACCA does provide upto 9 paper exemptions depending upon the candidate’s previous qualification)

• Record 36 month's experience in a relevant role. But the candidate can acquire the experience before/ during/ after completion of the qualification.

• Complete the Ethics and Professional Skills module. 

BT, MA, FA, LW are known as on-demand exams. These exams can be attempted at any time of the year. Exam of other papers are held four times a year (every March, June, September and December). 

ACCA run four exam sessions per year. Students can sit a maximum of four exams at each session, and a maximum of eight distinct exams each calendar year. You could therefore complete all of the exams within two years. To learn course effectively and efficiently has design it to complete the ACCA exam within 3 years. As you also need three year’s practical experience before you can become an ACCA member and be considered a qualified accountant, the qualification takes a minimum of three years to complete. 

The ACCA Certification opens you up to endless opportunities in the finance and accounting industry. The scope of ACCA in Nepal and overseas has been tremendous, especially over the last few years. Candidates are hired by leading companies like PwC, Deloitte, KPMG, EY, Grant Thornton, BDO etc. They are hired for various profiles such as Accounting Advisory, Risk Advisory, Statutory Audit, Internal Audit, Forensic Auditing, Merger & Acquisitions, Valuations, and more. 

ACCA Members have signing authority in many countries such as the UK, Dubai, Singapore etc. However, In Nepal, After becoming ACCA and passing certain exam of ICAN, they have signing authority. 

Any university in the worlds does not impart ACCA Education. Every country has its autonomous body established under the Act of Parliament, like ACCA and ICAN. Students have to get registered with the Board and may take private coaching classes. 

• For BT, MA, FA and Law – 100% Objective (MCQs)

• For Skills Level Except Law – 60% Objective (MCQs) and 40% Subjective (Case Studies)

• For Professional Level – 100% Subjective (Case Studies) 

You can appear for four exams per attempt, and a total of eight exams per year.However, ACCA have flexibility to attempt one paper at a time. 

ACCA requires in depth dedication and regular labour with genuine effort for the successful completion of the course.
