SEEDS-2024
The first SEEDS was in 2019. This year will be our 6th year. Every year we iterate and make the program better.
Eligibility Requirements
Participants will work in team of FOUR girls in each team.
Eligibility:
Rising sophomores/junior girls studying CS / Design in an undergrad program in a university in United States / Canada
Experience with programming and knowledge of Javascript
A working computer, good internet connection, reasonable English communication
All participants will need to submit an application form, pay a registration fee of $25
We may request for a small interview if we have clarifications and questions.
Apply as a team. You can form a team with your friends currently in different (or the same) undergraduate colleges. Each participant will need to submit the application form separately and enter the names of the friends who would like to join the team. From past years, we have seen more success in the teams with participants from the same college or where the participants already know each other. Or apply as an individual. Don't worry if you are applying just by yourself, we will find a team for you. Please leave the friends field empty. You can always make new friends!
Applications are open only to girls who plan to be in United States from June to August. US citizenship is not required, but being available in US timezone is important.
Fees
$25 participation fees
Why the fee?
Dandilyonn, our parent company is a non-profit. All our team is volunteer based. We give away cash prize in the end and also give away very special sustainable bags to the participants. The small registration fee is used to manage this expense.

Application Opens : Now
Application Closes : March 31st, 2024
Selected Participants informed : April 15th, 2024 . We will select 40 young women for the 2024 cohort.
Program Dates : June 1st to Aug 3rd.
If you are interested, but waiting to form a team first - please fill the application for yourself as soon as possible. Talk to your friends and encourage them to submit, they can enter your name in the 'friends' field.
Time Commitment
Live sessions on Saturdays June 1, 8, 15, 22, 29, July 13, 20, 27, Aug 3rd
Time 9 a.m. to 12 noon Pacific Time.
Additional 8-12 hours a week during June 1st to Aug 3rd. You will work with a team and yourself on weekly tasks.
Even though we will record the live sessions, we recommend you to attend live to maximize your learning.
Important : If you are traveling a lot this summer and see yourself missing more than TWO Saturday sessions, the program is not for you.
