23-24 травня 2024 року відбулась міжнародна наукова конференція "Вивчення та викладання історії Європейського Союзу: виклики для України". Захід об'єднав понад 55 європейських та українських політиків, науковців та освітян для обміну досвідом з наступних питань:  

- нові виклики у викладанні, дослідженні та вивченні історії Європейського Союзу;   

- питання розвитку ЄС у часи невизначеності;

- сучасна освітня, культурна та дослідницька політика Європейського Союзу;

- співробітництво Європейського Союзу та України в культурно-освітній сфері в контексті євроінтеграції;

- передовий досвід співпраці закладів освіти щодо навчання та викладання історії Європейського Союзу;

- нові історіографічні та методологічні підходи щодо євроінтеграційних досліджень;

- поглиблення знань про європейські освітні та культурні практики в Україні.

Перший день роботи конференції розпочався з публічної лекції Біргіт Дайбер, депутатки Європейського Парламенту на тему "Європейський Союз і Україна: співпраця заради миру?".  Пані Дайбер висловила щиру солідарність з народом України та захоплення діяльністю освітніх установи у часи війни. Шановна гостя детально зупинилась на основних кроках становлення Європейського об’єднання, наголосила на перспективах співпраці ЄС та України, в тому числі й у галузі культури, включно з освітою та наукою. "What courage it takes to imagine a future, peace and cooperation under a hail of bombes and destruction!

Ukraine started its journey to Europe in 1995 as a member of the Council of Europe. It is very difficult to talk about democracy and developments in the EU, when the Russian bombs are destroying your country and you live in permanent fear. I wish so much that you would finally get necessary for your defense. But perhaps in rethinking history it is a little helpful to remember the very beginnings of the idea of the European political unification. It was developed as a peace project by the resistance fighters against the Nazis rule at the end of the WWII. Hope in Europe helped to survive the disaster. I think that today the case of Ukraine is shattering Europe deeply, I think we are in a new fase to find peace, Europe and Ukraine.

Now Ukraine is join the EU. And you are involved in the process of bringing the EU and Ukraine together. It will take time, before Ukraine can fully adapt the EU regulatory framework. Just think of the two major sectors of agriculture and the iron and steel industry. But there are also field in which possibilities for cooperation and unification can be tested. Now, in February, the Council and the Parliament agreed on a proposal to create a new single specific instrument to contribute to Ukraine’s recovery and reconstruction . The “Ukraine facility” will provide the country with predictable financial support of 50 bln euros over the period of 2024 to 2027.

Directing this so-called “Ukraine facility” not only to the very large infrastructure projects but also to the development of human capital is now the meta of negotiations between the EU and Ukraine." 

Особливий інтерес і обговорення викликали перспективи вступу України до ЄС, європейська ідентифікація українців та можливості і перспективи і перспективи проведення наукових досліджень в умовах війни.

В рамках роботи міжнародної наукової конференції "Вивчення та викладання історії Європейського Союзу: виклики для України" відбудеться публічна лекція Біргіт Дайбер, депутатки Європейського Парламенту на тему "Європейський Союз і Україна: співпраця заради миру?". Планується обговорення структури ЄС та непростих алгоритмів прийняття рішень його основними інституціями, а також дослідницьких та освітніх стратегій ЄС і іх можливостей для України як країни зі статусом кандидата на вступ.
