Beom-Sik Kim received his B.S. and M.S. in Environmental Engineering at the University of Seoul under the supervision of Prof. Young-Kwon Park, and earned his Ph.D. in Chemical and Engineering at KAIST under the supervision of Prof. Hyunjoo Lee. He previously worked as a research scientist at RIST (Research Institute of Industrial Science & Technology) and POSCO Holdings, where his research included catalytic processes for air pollution control, hydrogen production, and CO₂ conversion. At Konkuk University, Prof. Kim leads the SEEC (Sustainable Energy & Environmental Catalysis) Lab, focusing on catalysis-driven environmental and energy processes to develop innovative solutions for clean air, resource circulation, and sustainable energy applications.
