In 2004, I published a book entitled "Section 8 Made Simple, A Guide for Investors”. The book is a step by step guide for investors regarding the sometimes complicated Section 8 Process. I wanted to educated investors and dispel stereotypes about the Section 8 Program.
But one of my many saying is, "Everything in Life has a Season". Under President George Bush Jr., the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) budget was cut by over 1 billion dollars. These budget cuts made it very difficult for investors to realize monthly profits from their investment properties.
It was for this reason that I decided to get out of the Section 8 Program assistance business and move on to other business ventures.
I still believe whole heatedly in the Section 8 Program. Investors can still have GUARANTEED Income, and Section 8 clients live in investment properties longer than non-Section 8 renters. But, as I say in the book, Knowledge is Power, especially when considering and accepting a Section 8 Voucher.
