OVERVIEW

SecriNote is a fully offline, encrypted private notes app.

We do not collect, transmit, or store any user data outside

of your device. This policy explains exactly how your data

is handled.

1. DATA STORAGE

----------------------------------------------------------------

All data — including your notes, tags, PIN, and encryption

keys — is stored exclusively on your device in a local

encrypted database. Nothing is ever sent to external servers,

cloud services, or third parties. Your data never leaves

your device.

2. ENCRYPTION

----------------------------------------------------------------

Every note title and content is encrypted using AES-256-CBC

encryption before being written to storage. Your PIN is

hashed with SHA-256 plus a unique salt and stored in your

device's hardware-backed secure keystore (Android Keystore /

iOS Keychain). Even with direct physical access to your

device storage, your data remains fully protected.

3. PERMISSIONS

SecriNote requests no risky permissions. The app does not

access or request:

- Internet / network access

- Camera

- Microphone

- Contacts

- Location

- External storage (beyond its own private directory)

Biometric authentication (fingerprint / face unlock) is

optional. It is processed entirely by your device's secure

enclave. No biometric data is ever stored or accessed by

SecriNote.

4. NO ANALYTICS OR TRACKING

----------------------------------------------------------------

SecriNote collects zero analytics, usage data, crash reports,

or telemetry of any kind. There are no third-party SDKs, no

advertising networks, and no tracking libraries included in

the app. What you do inside SecriNote is entirely private.

5. FAKE VAULT / DUAL PIN SYSTEM

----------------------------------------------------------------

The Fake PIN feature opens a separate decoy vault to protect

you in situations where you may be pressured to reveal your

notes. Your real vault is only accessible via your real PIN

or biometrics. Both PINs are stored independently — each

hashed and salted separately. Neither is ever stored in

plain text.

6. SCREENSHOT PROTECTION

----------------------------------------------------------------

SecriNote uses Android's FLAG_SECURE flag to prevent

screenshots, screen recordings, and app content previews

from appearing in the recent apps switcher. Your private

content is never visually exposed to other apps or system-

level captures.

7. DATA DELETION

----------------------------------------------------------------

You can permanently erase all your notes, PIN, and app

settings at any time by going to:

Settings → Reset App

Uninstalling SecriNote also removes all associated data from

your device. Since all data is stored locally, deletion is

complete and irreversible. There is no backup to recover from.

8. CHILDREN'S PRIVACY

SecriNote does not knowingly collect any information from

children under the age of 13. The app has no account system,

no data collection mechanism, and no network connectivity,

making it inherently safe for all age groups.

9. POLICY CHANGES

----------------------------------------------------------------

Any updates to this Privacy Policy will be communicated

through the app's update release notes on the Google Play

Store. Since no user data is collected by us, policy changes

cannot retroactively affect your locally stored data.
