I came across a post in this sub a week or two ago detailing wins using a "pivot" methodology and someone in the comments recommended Pivot Boss. Turns out PB is both a book by Franklin O Ochoa ( -of-a-pivot-boss/) and what looks to be a complementing Youtube channel ( @PivotBossTV/about).

This is a bit of a esoteric or psychological thing, but you have to know what works for you. You may find that a pivot based on the last 5 minute bar works for you. Another trader may only work with a 30 minute pivot for trading the 5 minute chart. You need to experiment and see what works for you. Then you can code it.
So your code looks to be building a standard pivot. Have you tried overlaying a 5 minute as well to see what that does? How about adding a Range to the pivot above and below to see potential Support / Resistance.

Pivot actually refers to a point about which something moves. So the point remains at rest and the thing moves.
Here pivot points are such points about which price moves, so at pivot point price may stay but when crosses it, its expected to move. The pivot points are obtained using different calculations.
So a pivot point could be based on mathematical formulas such as Fibonacci levels or Gann levels or Floor Trader Pivot levels (S1/R1). Or it could be based on visual evaluation of charts such as Swing Highs and Swing Lows or Patterns or Support/Resistance defined by trendlines.
