There are two different paths for each team to achieve victory.
The first path to victory is for one team to fill their game board with enacted policy cards. The second path requires the Fascists to elect the Secret Hitler as Chancellor, or the Liberals must assassinate the Secret Hitler before the board fills up or the newly elected Chancellor.
Let's get know some of the critical pieces of the game.
Each player is given a set of voting cards and will get to vote each round on the president's choice of Chancellor. Majority wins the vote or round.
Once a Chancellor has been elected, the president will draw 3 policies cards, discard one and give the remaining two for the Chancellor to place on the board. There are more Fascists cards than Liberal cards.
There are 3 boards set up for a specific number of players, but you will only be using two boards, a Fascist and a Liberal board. Each Fascist board will have perks once their policies have been enacted.
The Liberals want to catch the Secret Hitler, but they also may mistakenly kill their own team member because they were not able to convince the others of their party affiliation.
The Fascists have an edge by knowing who the Secret Hitler is but depending on the number of players, the Secret Hitler will not know who their team members are.
What if a vote becomes a draw? Well then, if you let that happen three times, the Election Tracker will have the final say. Sometimes you will not like the Election Trackers vote. Watch some of the videos to learn more about the Election Tracker.
