Privacy Policy – Second Brain

This policy explains how the Second Brain app, provided by ZekoiT Apps, handles your data.

1. Data stored on your device

The app works without an account and without internet. Your tasks, notes, ideas, links, habits, attachments and backups are stored on your phone and do not reach us unless you sign in as described in section 2.

2. Account and cloud sync (optional)

If you create an account with email and password or sign in with Google, we collect your name, email address and user ID. Your data is then synced automatically to Google Firebase so you can restore it on another device. This includes tasks, notes, ideas, links, projects, areas, resources, archives, habits and their logs, and task reminder locations. Attachments (photos and files) are not uploaded.

3. Permissions

• Microphone: to turn your speech into text using your phone's speech recognition service. The app does not record or store audio.

• Location: for place-based task reminders, only while you use the app. We never use your location for ads or tracking.

• Calendar: to add your tasks to your phone's calendar when you ask. We do not upload your calendar content.

• Notifications and alarms: to remind you of your tasks and habits on time.

4. Purchases

Subscriptions are handled by Google Play. We never receive your card or payment details; we only receive the purchase status to unlock PRO features.

5. What we don't do

We do not sell your data, show ads, use tracking or analytics tools, or send your data to AI services.

6. Data sharing

We share data only with the service providers that run the features above: Google Firebase (account and sync) and Google Play (purchases), or when required by law.

7. Security

All data is transmitted over encrypted connections (HTTPS), each user can access only their own data in the cloud, and you can lock the app with your fingerprint or a PIN.

8. Retention and deletion

We keep your account data while your account exists. You can delete your account and all its cloud data in the app (Settings → Account & Cloud Sync → Delete Account) or request it on the "Delete Account" page of this site.

Deleting an item in the app also deletes it from the cloud. Data on your phone is removed when you uninstall the app, and Android may back up app data to your Google account depending on your phone settings.

9. Children

The app is intended for users aged 18 and over. We do not knowingly collect data from anyone younger.

10. Your rights

You can view and edit your data in the app, export it to a file from Settings, and delete it at any time.

11. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy. Any change will be posted on this page with a new "Last updated" date.
