I am Sebastián Irigoyen, Assistant Professor at Audencia Business School in France. I hold a Ph.D. in Economics from the University of Rennes.

I'm an economist with research interests in ecological economics, political economy, and public economics. Using comparative empirical methods and survey data from different surveys (WVS, EVS, ISSP, among others).

I study the political, institutional, and distributive determinants of environmental policy acceptance. My work is particularly focused on institutional trust and ideology (In Gov we Trust), welfare regimes and pro-environmental action (State intervention or individual responsibility?), and the links between subjective well-being & ideologies (https://link.springer.com/book/9783032148186), media influence, and institutional trust in Latin America (Subjective Well-Being and Mass Media Influence).

I also work on democracy, higher education, and inequalities in Latin America (Universidad periférica, democracia y movilizaciones estudiantiles en el capitalismo cognitivo).

My teaching interests include Microeconomics, Macroeconomics, Ecological Economics, Econometrics, and Behavioral Economics.

Beyond academia, I have acted as an expert consultant for the European Commission, the International Labour Organization (ILO), and Organizzazione internazionale italo-latina americana (IILA),  specializing in dual education and vocational education and training systems.
