I'm a Biologist from the Universidad de Antioquia in Medellín, Colombia. For the last few years, I have been researching the effects of rivers and mountains on the structure and genetic differentiation in some species of primates (Ateles hybridus and Cebus versicolor) in the Middle Magdalena region. Currently, I'm a PhD candidate evaluating the taxonomic and evolutionary relationships of the genus Cebus in Colombia. Parallel to my main research, I have also conducted research on biogeography topics based on specimens from biological collections, and for five years I have been assistant curator of the mammal collection (ANDES-M) of the Museum of Natural History "C.J. Marinkelle" of the Universidad de los Andes. I have been part of the board of directors of the Colombian Primatological Association (APC), a representative for Colombia on the Board of Directors of the Latin American Society of Primatology (SLAPrim), and Coordinator of the Student Committee of the Colombian Society of Mammalogy (SCMas).
