Welcome to my website!
I am a Postdoctoral Research Fellow at Northwestern University's Center for Economic History and will join CERGE-EI (a joint workplace of Charles University in Prague and the Czech Academy of Sciences) as an Assistant Professor in September 2022. I graduated from UCLA Anderson School of Management in 2021.
I am an Applied Microeconomist with research projects in the fields of Urban Economics and Political Economy, all drawing on European or American Economic History. You can find my C.V. here.
In my research, I study how skilled European immigrants affected initial patterns of manufacturing specialization across the United States which persisted until the present, the causal role of political leaders in shaping the modern map of Europe, and political competition as an incentive for divisive propaganda, drawing on the U.S. South after Reconstruction.
