Welcome to my website!
I am a Postdoctoral Research Fellow at Northwestern University's Center for Economic History and will join CERGE-EI (a joint workplace of Charles University in Prague and the Czech Academy of Sciences) as an Assistant Professor in September 2022. I graduated from UCLA Anderson School of Management in 2021.
I am an Applied Microeconomist with research projects in the fields of Urban Economics and Political Economy, all drawing on European or American Economic History. In my research, I study how skilled European immigrants affected initial patterns of manufacturing specialization across the United States, which persisted until the present; the causal role of political leaders in shaping the modern map of Europe; and political competition as an incentive for divisive propaganda, drawing on the U.S. South after Reconstruction.
