Welcome to my website!

I am an Assistant Professor (tenure-track) at  CERGE-EI, a joint workplace of Charles University and the Czech Academy of Sciences. I graduated from UCLA Anderson School of Management in 2021, was a  Postdoctoral Research Fellow at Northwestern University's Center for Economic History from 2021 to 2022, and visited Harvard's Department of Economics in Fall 2019 and Université Libre de Bruxelles (ECARES) in April 2025.  

I am an Applied Microeconomist with research projects in the fields of Urban Economics and Political Economy, all drawing on European or American Economic History.  Publications and working papers are available here. Here is a link to my C.V. 

I am affiliated with IZA (Affiliate since 2021, Associate since 2025), the CEPR (Affiliate, Political Economy and Economic History, since 2025), and the Center for Economic History at Northwestern University (since 2023).
