In February this year a scheme was approved by the European Commission to include Danish Seafarers involved in offshore wind farming in the seafarers tax exemption.

The scheme was approved in an effort to improve the competitiveness of the European Maritime Transport sector, boost jobs and provide a more level playing field.

The scheme applies to vessels providing services such as servicing, constructing repairing and dismantling offshore wind farms.
