Sea Scouts provides an enjoyable environment where young adults can learn about sailing and boating. Work with responsible adult advisors to learn sailmaking, navigation, engine maintenance, signaling, and other nautical skills.

At times Sea Scouting is as simple as sailing down a river.

Who Can Join?

Sea Scout Ship 601 is a co-ed program open to high school age youth.

If you're looking toward the sea for a career or a life long hobby, Sea Scouts may be for you.

Sea Scouts also provide career advancement pathways through the U.S. Coast Guard and Navy.

Over time you'll learn not only nautical skills, but important soft skills that help you in any career field at any point in life.
