2024 Search and Matching Workshop in the Asia-Pacific
Singapore
Registration Closed
Registration is now closed. If you wish to attend the workshop, please email Mr Justin Goh at searchworkshopsg@gmail.com by 20 June to let us know of your intent; if you email after this date, we may not be able to accommodate you.
Click here for the latest program. Note that the venue has changed!
Please book your hotel yourself; there is no specially negotiated rate with any hotel. There is no hotel near NUS within walking distance, so any hotel you book will involve travelling time. As Singapore is expensive, it is recommended that you book earlier than later.
One recommendation:
We usually put our seminar visitors in the Park Rochester Rochester Hotel, Park Avenue Rochester - Park Avenue Hotels & Suites (parkavenuegroup.com). It is in the vicinity of NUS, but requires a taxi ride nonetheless.
Taxis
The easiest way to get to the workshop venue is by taxi. Please download the taxi apps when you arrive in Singapore - Grab, Gojek or Tada
Travellers seeking to enter Singapore should comply with the prevailing Public Health as well as Entry Requirements. Short-term travellers holding a passport or travel document from a visa-required country/region must apply for a Visa. For more information, please refer to https://www.ica.gov.sg/enter-transit-depart/entering-singapore.
Note in particular section 1b) on that website: EVERYONE entering Singapore must fill up an “SG Arrival Card” from 3 days before arriving in Singapore, regardless of your visa status and citizenship. Please do it before you take your flight, or there will be delays clearing immigration.
1. The day ofter the conference, 9 August, is Singapore’s national day, which is a public holiday.
2. It is advisable to bring an umbrella (it rains a lot), and a sweater (indoor spaces can be cold even though it is very hot outdoors).
